Volunteering at Blackfriars
Volunteering at Blackfriars Theatre is a chance to be part of something special.
From welcoming audiences and supporting performances to helping behind the scenes, our volunteers play a vital role in bringing the theatre to life. With over 18,000 volunteer hours recorded last year, our community continues to grow and thrive together.

Blackfriars Theatre Academy
Blackfriars Theatre Academy offers young people aged 5 to 21 the chance to take part in theatre, develop new skills and build confidence in a supportive environment.
With regular classes and live performances throughout the year, there are plenty of opportunities to learn, grow and take to the stage.
BOS Musical Theatre Group
Boston Musical Theatre Group is a local community group producing full-scale musical theatre at Blackfriars Theatre.
With regular productions and opportunities to take part, the group welcomes new members interested in performing and getting involved.


Boston Playgoers
Boston Playgoers Society is a long-established amateur dramatics group based in Boston, producing a wide range of plays at Blackfriars Theatre.
With regular productions and opportunities both on stage and behind the scenes, new members are always welcome.
