Accessibility & Seating Plan
Blackfriars Theatre is committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all visitors.
Our building is historic and over 800 years old, which means some areas have limitations. However, we do everything we can to support visitors with a wide range of access needs and encourage anyone who may require assistance to contact us before their visit.
Our team will always do their best to make your experience comfortable and enjoyable.
Accessible seating
Accessible seating is available in the auditorium. Due to the age and layout of the building, the number of accessible seating positions is limited.
If you require accessible seating, please let us know at the time of booking so we can reserve the most suitable space for you.
We also recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before the performance start time so our Front of House team can assist you to your seat before the show begins.
If you are unsure which tickets are most suitable, our Box Office team will be happy to help.

If you would like to discuss access arrangements before your visit, please contact the Box Office.
Accessible toilet facilities
Accessible toilet facilities are available within the theatre.
If you need assistance locating these facilities when you arrive, our Front of House team will be happy to help.
Assistance dogs
Assistance dogs are welcome at Blackfriars Theatre.
If you plan to attend a performance with an assistance dog, please let us know when booking so we can help arrange suitable seating.
Seating Plan
Blackfriars Theatre is an intimate performance space where audiences sit close to the stage.
Our auditorium layout may vary depending on the type of event, but most performances use our standard theatre seating configuration.
A seating plan is available during the online booking process and is pictured below to help you select seats.
If you would like advice on choosing seats, please contact the Box Office.
